Guide for the Sekitori Tracker's features
The tool is designed to present a history of rikishis when they were Sekitori - the two top Devisions Makuuchi and Juryo. The default screen will display only one year and the 6 bashos played in it. There is a posibility to display the full sekitori career, but please note that for some of rikishi career longevity is substantial and the screen can lag or even freeze on Mobiles. This is why the best way to use the tracker is on Desktop PC with a wide monitor
I have currently documented until 2008, but plan to do more.
- Rikishi Drop down - It containing all rikishi in the documented period. Every one has been a sekitori, even for one basho.
- Find Button - Displays the most recent year in which the rikishi participated
- Compact / Full mode - Toggle the display mode. Compact will shrink the information severely with the goal to quickly observer the progression with minimal scrolling. Full mode restores back the full info displayed
- Full Career / Single Year - Toggles career mode. Full career will display the full period from the first point the selected rikishi became sekitori to the most recent point. Single year will show only single years for a lighter version and possibility to go up and down the years one by one. You can use Page Up and page Down keyboard keys to move through the years
- Basho name - The month, year and location of the basho
- Division - Month and year and Divisions - Makuuchi and Juryo
- Ranks - All rikishis participating (according to banzuke for that basho) and their rank in the beginiing of the basho.
- Retirement - This marker indicates that the rikishi retired at this point
- Makuuchi winner - This marker indicates that the rikishi won the basho (Yusho)
- Result - Each rikishi's balance of wins, losses and missed bouts. The colors indicate positive (greener for kachi kochi) or negative balance (red for make kochi), with the color more striking in the bigger difference.
- Bouts - If there are three blue lines under the result, you can click on the result to get a complete basho history for that rikishi. it shoes who have the rikishi won against and who they lost to. if there are no lines they either didn't fight at all or I haven't documented them yet.
- Juryo winner - This marker indicates that the rikishi won the Juryo division (Juryo yusho)
- Kintamayama videos - If there is a youtube icon, then there is a link to Kintamayama's youtube channel's basho videos. it leads to the first video in the playlist.
- Selected Rikishi (Active) - When the name is in this light green color it means the rikishi is selected and this is the basho selected as Active. This is used only to display the correct Age of the rikishi during the active basho when displaying full career mode. In other words by changing the active basho for the same rikishi will display the age at this point in time.
- Selected Rikishi (Inactive) - When the name is in this darker light green color it means the rikishi is selected but it is not the active basho. This just indicates all appearances of the rikishi. The age displayed is only for the Active basho (see the above point)
- Highest Rank - When a rikishi is selected, the line displayes the highest rank the rikishi achieved in their career
- Zensho Yusho - When the result is in gold it indicates the rikishi won a perfect score or 15 wins and 0 losses.
- Shikona - The sumo name of the selected rikishi (hold the cursor to display full shikona)
- Age - The age at the moment of the Active Basho selection of the rikishi
- Heya - The stable of the rikishi
- Real name - The birth name of the selected rikishi
- Portrait - Portrait of the selected rikishi (hold the cursor to display full shikona)
- Country - Flag of the country of origin of the selected rikishi (hold the cursor to display name of country)
